I would like to wish all my constituents in Barnet a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
I hope that everyone in our diverse community, from whichever faith or secular background they come, has the chance to enjoy some rest and time with friends and family over the forthcoming holiday period.
In the year that the NHS reached its 70th birthday I would like to thank all those of you who will be working during the festive season to keep our health and emergency services going. I am sure anyone who requires medical assistance over the festive season will be greatly appreciative of the commitment and dedication of NHS staff.
I would like to thank those who serve in our local police force who have continued to act with courage and professionalism this year. We owe all our front line officers and PCSOs a great debt of gratitude. I would also like to pay tribute to the brave men and women of our armed forces, many of whom will be posted overseas away from their families during this festive period.
Looking ahead to 2019, I shall continue to campaign enthusiastically in Barnet and in Parliament to highlight the issues that matter to my constituents including protecting our green spaces, tackling crime, giving Barnet children the best education, improving public transport, and expanding NHS services.
