Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, today attended Diwali celebrations at Bhaktivedanta Manor, in Aldenham yesterday. Speaking after the event she said:
“I was given a very warm welcome at Bhaktivedanta Manor today when I visited their Diwali celebrations. Matthew Offord, MP for Hendon, was also there along with other elected representatives and candidates from around London and Hertfordshire.""The Manor is run by the International Society of Krishna Consciousness - ISKCON - who put on spectacular celebrations to mark the main Hare Krishna and Hindu festivals during the year. Their Diwali fireworks attract thousands of visitors every year.
